Cooper's Hawk Winery Now Open In Montgomery

The Montgomery location marks Cooper's Hawk's 61st restaurant in the country.

MONTGOMERY, IL — The newest Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant is officially open in Montgomery.

Denoted as an "upscale casual restaurant," Cooper's Hawk celebrated its official opening April 29 at 998 Route 30. It has nearly 10,000 square feet of space, including a 719-square-foot outdoor dining space.

The Greater Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new restaurant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and soft opening during the last weekend of April.

When announcing the Montgomery location, Cooper's Hawk executives said they planned to invest around $8 million in the Ogden Hill shopping plaza spot while creating 150 new jobs, Patch reported.

Under the deal, the village will receive $600,000 in sales tax revenues from Cooper's Hawk over the agreement's 15-year period, based on the company's projections.

The winery and restaurant operates 61 locations, including multiple around the Chicago suburbs. Nearby, the Village of Plainfield is in talks with the group to bring Cooper's Hawk to The Boulevard Place, the development on Route 30 anchored by Costco, Patch reported in March.
