Local Man Charged with Cannabis and Drug Paraphernalia Possession After Officers Smelled it Burning: Police

Monday, Aug. 19

No valid driver’s license

Noe Carlos-Herrera, 24, of the 600 block of Concord Ct. Aurora, was arrested at 8 p.m. at Montgomery Road and Jackson Street for driving without a valid driver’s license after his vehicle was stopped for improper lane usage, said Montgomery police.

Sunday, Aug. 18

DUI

Miguel Aguirre, 28, of the 1100 block of Lafayette St. Aurora, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. at Ashland and Douglas Road and charged for driving under the influence after his vehicle was stopped for disobeying a stop sign, said Montgomery police.

Possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

Thomas Jock, 20, of the 2400 block of Georgetown Circle Aurora, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. at Montgomery Road and Crown and charged for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, after his vehicle was stopped for speeding, said Montgomery police.  Officer’s smelled burning cannabis inside the vehicle and eventually located over 10 grams but less than 30 grams of cannabis and items of drug paraphernalia.

No valid driver’s license

Gabriela Montenegro, 20, of the 200 block of Parker Ave, Aurora was arrested at 8:30 a.m. at Montgomery Road and Crown for driving without a valid driver’s license after police stopped her vehicle for speeding, said Montgomery police.

Saturday, Aug. 17

Domestic battery

Daniel Aniszewski, 27, of the 1800 block of Waverly Way was arrested at 6:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of Waverly Way and charged with domestic battery after he caused bodily harm to a family member, said Montgomery police.

Friday, Aug. 16

DUI

Jason Hill, 40, of the 200 block of Concord Drive DeKalb, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. at Route 30 and Orchard and charged with driving under the influence after police stopped his vehicle for improper lane usage and speeding in a construction zone, said Montgomery police.

 

Any charges are merely an accusation and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty
