Person Found Dead In Driveway From Gunshot Wound: Montgomery Police

MONTGOMERY, IL — A person was found dead in the driveway of a residence in the 1200 block of Lebanon Street Friday morning, according to Montgomery police.

First responders arrived at the property on Montgomery's east side, near the border with Aurora, at about 5:24 a.m. Friday when they pronounced the person dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Officials did not release the person's identification pending next of kin notification.

Police are treating the case as a homicide investigation, officials said Friday afternoon.
