1 In Custody After Person Shot In Montgomery Home: Reports

A Hinsdale man was arrested after police found an unresponsive person suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1300 block of Oak Ridge Lane.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A man wanted in relation to a Halloween shooting in Montgomery was arrested in downtown Hinsdale Monday afternoon, according to reports from ABC7.

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Oak Ridge Lane around 12:06 p.m. Monday when they found an unresponsive person suffering from a gunshot wound, officials said. Police labeled the incident as "domestic-related."

ABC reported that the person who was shot has died.

There is no immediate threat to the public, according to police.

Montgomery police and the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the incident. Officials said they will release additional information as it becomes available.
