'Suspicious' Death Investigation Ongoing In Montgomery: Police

MONTGOMERY, IL — A "suspicious" death investigation is ongoing in Mongtomery Monday afternoon, police said.

Montgomery police responded to the 1100 block of Reading Drive around 1:18 p.m. to investigate the circumstances. There is no immediate threat to the public, officials said.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

To help with the investigation, police are asking anyone who may have information, access to surveillance video or was in the area of the death between 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Monday to contact Detective Sergeant Greg Mayyou at 331-212-9091 or by email at mayyou@ci.montgomery.il.us.
