Warming Centers In Montgomery, Other Kendall County Locations
The Village of Montgomery shares details of two warming centers open Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20.

MONTGOMERY, IL β The Village of Montgomery announced two locations serving as community warming centers this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 19 and 20. The Montgomery Village Hall at 200 N. River Street and the Montgomery Police Department at 10 Civic Center Avenue will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days. Need more information? In addition, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and Kendall County Emergency Management Agency also want community members to be prepared for winter storms:

- Make sure your vehicle is full of gas prior to traveling (if you must drive).
- Make sure your cell phone is charged and you have a charger with you.
- Pack a winter weather kit containing blankets or sleeping bags, a flashlight with extra batteries, first aid kit, water, food, extra clothing, tool kit, shovel, battery booster cables, compass, sand or cat litter for traction, and road maps.
- Make sure a family member or trusted friend knows where you're going, the route you plan to take, and tell them when you're leaving and plan to return.
