• And The Winners Are… Free Access (journal-topics.com) — Mount Prospect’s Special Events Commission has named the 2025-26 Shining Star Award winners, who will be honored at the Feb. 7 gala at Crystal Palace Banquets on Elmhurst Road. Local educators, neighbors, youth leaders, nonprofits, and public servants are recognized for making Mount Prospect more inclusive, caring, and community-minded. Residents can look forward to video tributes celebrating each honoree.
   

• Collegiate Ticker - Dec. 10, 2025 (bowl.com) — Mount Prospect hosted the Big Ten Championships, where Purdue’s men and women swept the bowling field in a strong showing. The wider collegiate season also saw major events in Addison and across the Midwest, with several teams picking up key wins as the schedule heads toward late-December Tier I tournaments.
