1 Dead After Crash On I-88 Near Naperville
One person was killed in a crash that took place on I-88 around 6 p.m. Sunday.
NAPERVILLE, IL — One person is dead after a two-car crash that took place on I-88 near Naperville Sunday evening, state police told Patch.
The crash took place just before 6 p.m. near the Naperville Road exit. Illinois State Police (ISP) told Patch one person was driving east when they stopped their vehicle in the right lane "for an unknown reason."
Police say a car struck the back of the car that was stopped. The driver of the first car was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The crash closed part of the eastbound lanes on I-88 until 10:50 p.m.
As of late Monday morning, ISP said there is no additional information.
