NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Park District has voted to approve a bond referendum question on the upcoming March 17 ballot. The $120 bond referendum would help fund park district projects that include adding an indoor recreation center with pools, running tracks and other features.

The park district's decision to put the bond referendum question on the ballot comes after a series of surveys and community open houses. The proposed upgrades also include funding refrigerated ice rinks moved to Community Garden Plots to lengthen the skating season and two new ball fields at Wolf's Crossing Park.

Initially, the proposed bond amount was $135 million, but was adjusted to $120 million after the park district scaled back its proposed projects following feedback from residents.
