100-MPH Tornado Traveled From Yorkville To Naperville: NWS
An EF-1 tornado cut a 17-mile path between Yorkville and Naperville, according to National Weather Service.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that an EF-1 tornado traveled from Yorkville to Naperville Monday night, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph.
The tornado cut a nearly 17-mile path staring at 8:55 p.m. in Yorkville and ending in south Naperville around 9:15 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the tornado, which traveled through Oswego and got as large as 200 yards wide.

This was one of several tornadoes confirmed in the greater Chicago area. EF-1 tornadoes were also confirmed near Channahon and on Chicago's near west side, traveling into parts of the west Loop.
