2-Year-Old, 2 Adults Saved After Car Plunges Into Pond: Police
Three people were pulled to safety after a car drove into a retention pond in Naperville Tuesday, according to police.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A two-year-old child and two adults were pulled from the water after the car they were in plunged into a retention pond in Naperville Tuesday afternoon, according to police. The incident took place in a body of water south of the 95th Street Library around 1 p.m., Commander Michaus Williams told Patch.
The occupants were saved by members of the Naperville Police Department who entered the water and gained access to the inside of the vehicle.
No one in the submerged car accepted medical care, per Williams, but a police officers sustained minor injuries.

Williams said the driver may have inadvertently hit the car's gas pedal while in a nearby parking lot.
