NAPERVILLE, IL — A $900,000 grant from the Ronald McDaniel Foundation will help the DuPage Children's Museum further its ongoing mission to provide inventive educational programming for children. The multi-year grant honors the memory of Ronald McDaniel, who served as member of the DuPage Children's Museum's board for more than a decade.

McDaniel, who died in June 2022, began his time as a board member in 2010. He received the Great Friend to Kids Award from the DuPage Children's Museum in 2019.

“As Ronald L. McDaniel said when accepting the award,'The light in their eyes
and the joy on their faces is priceless. Those expressions are a direct result of the intentional work of DCM – all designed to inspire a love of learning through art, math, and science.’ The Foundation is honored to carry on his legacy through the impactful work of DCM," Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation program officer Julie Callahan said in a statement.
