A Hole House Investigation

Local resident discovers cause of imperfection in home's siding

A Naperville resident reported Saturday that a "bullet hole" was found in the siding of his or her home.

The report, made with Naperville Police shortly before 12:30 p.m., says that the damage in the siding of the home could have occurred any time between 12:30 p.m. Aug. 20 and the time of the report Saturday. The resident, who lives in the 2800 block of Cordgrass Road, later realized that the hole was not from a bullet, but the cable guy.

Drilled through the outside wall from inside the home, the tiny tunnel was made to allow installation of the home's cable television system, according to the report.
