Adopt Me! Affectionate Pets Seek Happy Homes

Every week Naperville Patch shares information on pets waiting to be adopted at the Naperville Area Humane Society and Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment.

Norman is a 1-year-old American pit bull Terrier mix that was found stray.  He is a very friendly dog that has made many friends, both canine and human, at the shelter.  He is very playful and is quite energetic.  It would be best if he goes home with a family that has plenty of time to train and play with him daily.  He would also be good with a dog savvy cat.  Kids in his new home should be at least 8 years old due to his exuberance.

Buddha is a 2-year-old domestic longhair that was surrendered because his previous owner was moving.  He is a very affectionate and loving cat that would be good in a home with other cats, dogs and kids at least 5 years old.  He is playful and loves his toys.  You can stop by and meet Buddha in “Kittyland” our free roaming cat room.

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society.  All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped.  They are spayed and neutered at adoption.  Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.  Visit us at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
