Adopt Me!: Bethany, Buster, Starr and Archie

If you have room in your home for a pet, here are a few adoptable pets who would be happy to leave the shelter.

Bethany is about 3 years old and in foster care.  She is a sweet and affectionate girl.  She loves other cats, people, and lots of affection and would be oh so happy to have a home for Christmas!  Bethany is fully vetted and ready for her forever home.  If you are interested in her, please contact Thank you so much!

Buster and his two littermates, Portland and Rocko, were transferred to A.D.O.P.T. from another rescue.  They are 6-month-old Labrador retriever/ cattle dog mix pups. All three have completely different markings, but they all have an extremely soft coat. For being puppies they all have very calm temperaments.  They’re very smart and would strive with obedience training.

For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299.  The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville.  Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Starr is a 6-month-old female domestic shorthair kitten who came to last August.  She was found as a stray in Naperville, but loves people, playing with string and snuggling.  She’s really hoping she won’t have to spend her very first holiday season in a cage.  Starr is just one of many juvenile kitties, 5 months to 1-year-old, who can be adopted for only $75 as part of NAHS’ “Spring the Juvies” promotion.  If someone would like to adopt a pair of adolescent cats, the adoption fee is only $80 for both!  These younger kitties still have all the personality of a kitten, and a bigger heart to fill with love for their new families – come meet Starr and the other “juvies” at NAHS today!

Archie is a 3-year-old male Chihuahua who came to NAHS when his family didn’t have time to take care of him anymore.  He’s quite the little character and although he loves people and snuggling with them, he’s not a big fan of other dogs.  He wouldn’t mind living with a calm cat, and kids in his new family should be older because he can be a bit weary around a lot of loud noises and commotion.  Archie would be a great pet for somebody looking for a loyal lap dog; all he asks is that you give him lots of backside scratches in return!  If you’ve got room in your family for a little dog with a big heart, then please visit Archie today!
