Adopt Me: Playful Pets Ready to Be Adored

Every week Naperville Patch shares information on pets waiting to be adopted at the Naperville Area Humane Society and Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment.

Rosie is a 2-year-old Terrier mix that was transferred from another shelter due to lack of space.  She is a gentle girl who would prefer snuggling on your lap as she is not much for playing with toys.  She is good with other calm dogs and even cats.  Kids in her new home should be at least 8 years old due to her sensitive and somewhat shy nature.  Stop by soon to see if Rosie would be a great fit for your home.

Harry is a 1-year-old male domestic shorthair that was surrendered due to his high energy level.  He is a very playful cat who just loves to soak up as much attention from his human friends here at the shelter as he can get.  He is very affectionate with other cats and dogs and greets everyone who visits.  Don’t pass up this love bug!  Harry will not disappoint!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society.  All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped.  They are spayed and neutered at adoption.  Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.  Visit us at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org

Breed: Male orange/buff and white domestic shorthair

Background: At A.D.O.P.T. since Jan. 2012 - from Sandwich Vet Clinic.

Personality: This handsome gent is very laid back - gets along with everyone.  He is up for hugs and kisses, as well as a quiet game of mouse chase.  He could handle being an only cat - but sure doesn't mind having feline company either.   Would do well with a quiet family.   He is waiting for you in Comm 2.
