Adopt Me! Shannon, Mig, Hutch and Carter

When you meet Shannon, a 3-½-year-old female domestic longhair, you’ll be able to tell right away what a sweet, snuggly and beautiful cat she is! What you won’t see is the trials she’s been through.  Shannon was found wandering the streets in Romeoville. To make matters worse, she was pregnant.  She was cold, hungry and lonely but found a foster mom to take her in and give her a safe place to deliver her kittens. All of Shannon’s kittens found great homes and now she’s ready to find one too. Shannon will promise to love her new family, sit with them and keep them safe from that scary machine called a “vacuum”. She gets along with other cats and would probably be fine living with a cat savvy dog. Please come meet this great kitty today!

Mig is a 2-½-year-old female Beagle who came to NAHS when her owner became ill and couldn’t care for her anymore. She’s a sweet roly-poly dog whose New Years Resolution is to lose some weight! Do you need a walking buddy? She’ll be the perfect companion to keep you company! Mig is smart too!  She will ring a bell when she needs to go outside. She has never lived with kids before, so kids in her new family should be old enough to know she may need some time to get used to them. She gets along with other calm dogs and may be fine living with dog savvy cats. This sweet girl would love a home for the holidays, could it be with you?

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Hutch is a 3-1/2-year-old buff tiger who has been at   since August of this year. He will not only sit on your lap, but he will place his paws around your neck and inch his way up to your shoulders. He is very affectionate and will shower you with love.  He has been fully vetted and can be found in the Sun Room.

Look at that smile. Carter was brought to A.D.O.P.T. from Naperville animal control. He is a Shar Pei-Labrador retriever mix and about 5-years-old. He is truly a gentle giant. He loves to play ball and go for walks.  He has a great temperament. Carter much prefers the company of humans over other dogs. He is a constant companion looking for a warm and loving home.
