Annual Brush Collection To Start In Naperville: What To Know

Naperville will be starting its annual curbside collection of bulk brush on May 8.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Now that spring is here, Naperville is set to kick off its annual curbside brush collection. The program, which begins May 8, allows residents to dispose of bulk quantities of brush at no cost.

To ensure brush collection, residents must:

  • Put brush out on the curb the Sunday before their normal collection date (Memorial Day will have a different schedule)
  • Make sure branches are between three and eight feet long and smaller than 6 inches around
  • Stack branches, unbundled, with their cut ends facing the street
  • Put thorny branches in a different pile
  • Be sure piles contain branches only

The following items will not be accepted during brush collection:

  • Shorter branches and vines, which can be bagged and collected with a yard waste sticker
  • Logs, trunks and tree roots
  • Tangled brush piles with lumber, metal and plant material
