Armed Robbery Attempt On Uber Driver Fails: Police
Police say the suspect ran away west on Tupelo Avenue after a failed robbery.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police are looking for a man believed to have attempted to rob an Uber driver on Thursday, according to a social media post by the police department.
On Thursday, around 12:10 p.m., police say, they responded to the area of Olympus Drive and Tupelo Avenue on a report of an armed robbery attempt.
The victim, an Uber driver, told police the offender got into the car and tried to rob the driver. Police say the robber failed.

The robber ran away west on Tupelo Avenue, police say.
Police say the suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, about 5-foot-10 to six feet tall, of average build and wearing dark clothing. He reportedly had a handgun.
