City to Begin Roadway Resurfacing Program

The will begin resurfacing and reconstructing roads in several subdivisions as well as some of the City’s major roadways as part of the annual Roadway Resurfacing Program.

Roads in the following subdivisions are scheduled for resurfacing beginning in May: Breckenridge, Brookdale, Brush Hill, Cress Creek, In-Town East, In-Town West, Knoch Knolls, Old Farm, Old Saw Mill, Rose Hill, White Eagle and Wildflower.

In addition to the subdivision streets, several major roadways will also be resurfaced, including Diehl Road from Route 59 to Raymond Drive and Book Road from 87th Street to 111th Street. For a map of the roadways included in the program, visit the City’s website at www.naperville.il.us/mip.aspx.

All of the work included in the 2012 Roadway Resurfacing Program is slated for completion by late October.

Funded by state and local Motor Fuel Tax funds, Naperville’s Roadway Resurfacing Program is designed to provide the City with safe roads. Each year City roads are evaluated to determine which roads need preventative maintenance such as patching, microsurfacing and crack-filling or complete replacement of the entire street surface layer by resurfacing or reconstruction.
