Firefighters Respond to Early-Morning Fire on Corporate Lane
Hanging heater catches fire at 5 a.m. Friday.

A Friday morning fire in the 2100 block of Corporate Lane was caused by a hanging heater, according to the Naperville Fire Department, which was summoned to the scene at 5:23 a.m. by an alarm.
The engineering-room heater was directly beneath a sprinkler head, which kept the fire from spreading. Smoke, however, was seen throughout the building. Two trucks, three engines, a heavy rescue squad and two ambulances responded. After power was shut off to the heater, the fire was extinguished. There were no injuries, according to the fire department.
