Furry Bundles of Joy Seeking Homes
Adoptable dogs and cats are ready and waiting for new homes.
Mark is a 2-year-old male Terrier mix that was transferred from another shelter due to lack of space. He is a social boy who likes to go for walks and play with toys. He is a favorite choice of our volunteers to take “off-sight” to meet and greet new people and other canine friends. He is good with dogs, cats and kids that are at least 8 years of age. Mark would make a great companion for a family that is looking to add a new member. He is a small and wonderful bundle of joy. Stop by to meet Mark soon!
Swayze is a 5-year-old male domestic shorthair who was found stray. He is a very easy-going cat that does well with other feline friends and might do well with a dog. Swayze has it all….looks, charm and personality. He is currently staying in our free-roam cat room, “Kittyland,” and loves all of the hugs and chin scratches from his daily visitors. Come meet Swayze soon. He’ll be waiting to charm his way into your life.
More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit us at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Harlow
Age: About 5 years old

Breed: Shar pei mix
Background: Harlow came to A.D.O.P.T . from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. He has been in with our program for a month.
Personality: When Harlow arrived at the shelter it was obvious that he had been severely abused and neglected. However, after spending a few weeks in a foster home he has learned he is safe and to trust people. Harlow may take some time to warm up to you, but once he does you will have a friend for life. He does well around other dogs, but would not do well in a home with cats or other small animals due to his high prey drive. Harlow must have been training for the Olympics because he can jump over a 4-foot fence, so we would prefer a 6-foot fence or leash walking for him.
Adoption fee: $250
Pacino
Age: Almost 2 years old
Breed: Male Domestic Black and White Short Hair
Background: At A.D.O.P.T. since Dec. 2011 from Naperville Animal Control.
Personality: Pacino a/k/a "Al" is extremely affectionate and loves attention. In fact when he was in intake he had a spot above his left eye from head butts to the cage. It is now mended but his head butts continue to just about everyone. Since he is in the Sun Room, he gets along with other cats, but we don't know about dogs or children. He loves to play and cuddle next you. He is waiting - love, head butts and ALL. Take a look at the short video of him on our website.
Adoption Fee: $100.
Other: All animals at A.D.O.P.T. are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and are up to date on age related vaccines.
Where to find these pets: For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299. All animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and are up to date on age related vaccines. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville.
