Grandparents Spend A Day With Students
Grandparents were invited to Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School last month to spend time with their grandchildren.
This year, as in past years, Ss. Peter and Paul School welcomed grandparents to the school for a day of celebration. Students and teachers planned a wide range of activities for this special day.
Principal Frank Glowaty shared, “We celebrate the day just before Thanksgiving as a way to thank grandparents and families for their partnership in educating their children.” He continued, “This is one of the most exciting school days of the year. I don’t know who is more excited about the day, the children or the Grandparents.”
Students prepared for grandparents day by making cards and pictures. The teachers prepared special class projects and games in the lower grades while the upper grade students participate in discussions and class activities during their class periods. Grandparents actively participated in gym class with the 2nd graders.

Many grandparents were once students of school themselves. One proud grandparent attended whose grandchild was the sixth generation receiving an education at SSPP.
In keeping with tradition, the day concluded with students joining their Grandparents for Mass.
