Background: Has been at A.D.O.P.T. since Sept. 2011 - Owner give-up.

Personality:  Adelle is a special needs cat.  She is sweet, playful and, of course, waiting for her forever home.  She would prefer to be adopted out as an ONLY cat.  Adelle is currently on a prescription cat food, which would have to be continued once she is adopted.  She has a history of crystals in her urine and needs the prescription food to prevent new crystals from developing.  She has been medically cleared and is ready for adoption.

Kersey

Age:  9 years old

Bailey is a 3-year-old male domestic medium hair who was surrendered due to being incompatible with small children.  He is an independent cat who would prefer a quiet home tha does not have any other cats or children under the age of 8 years.  He does like to be petted and seeks attention from people, but is not a lap cat.  Bailey would prefer spending his days soakingup the sunlight or watching you read a good book.  Stop by soon to see if Bailey is just the right cat for you!

Carly is a 2-year-old American pit bull Terrier mix that was transferred from another shelter due to lack of space.  She is a very sweet girl who is a bit shy around new people, but will warm up quickly once she gets to spend a little time with you.  She would need a quiet home with someone who has the time to take her for walks as she has been known to climb fences.  She is also Heartworm positive and is currently being treated for this condition.  She is good with other dogs and cats.  Kids in her new home should be at least 8 years of age.  Carly is waiting to meet her forever family.  Could that be you?

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society.  All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped.  They are spayed and neutered at adoption.  Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.  Visit us at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
