How To Find Out If Your School Is Closed Due To Weather

Snow Day information for School Districts 203 and 204.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The myriad ways a kid can experience the special kind of joy that only comes with a snow day are right here before you. Although Chicagoland has only had a dusting of snow this season, keep this handy guide in mind when it comes to school closures in your area. You never know when the next colossal storm may hit.

Check the emergency closing center website for school, business, childcare closures and more, updated every 15 minutes.

Indian Prairie School District 204 notifies parents of school closures by 6 a.m. through its Twitter page, through television and radio, with an automated phone system and through the district's information line at 630-375-3015.

Community Unit District 203 will notify parents by 5:45 a.m. through its Twitter page, through television and radio, with an automated phone system and through the district's information line at 630-420-6300. Parents can also sign up for the district's notification system, which sends messages through email, SMS and phone calls.

In addition, Naperville Park District will cancel its programs scheduled prior to 3 p.m. if either District 203 or 204 closes its schools due to winter weather. Those programs include scheduled classes, drop-in programs, Fort Hill Activity Center childcare and group fitness classes. Double check posts from the park district online.
