Update: Man Charged with Aggravated Child Porn, Turns Himself In

A 58-year-old Bellview man has been charged with aggravated child pornography.

UPDATE: After a six-month investigation, Naperville police said they have charged a Naperville man with aggravated child pornography.

John Edward Conrad, 58, originally from Bellvue, WA., now residing in the 4100 block of John Willie Drive in Naperville, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday after he turned himself in to the , said Naperville Police Sgt. John Westlove.

Police obtained a search warrant after a six-month investigation into child pornography that was encrypted on Conrad's computer, Westlove said. Once police were able to decipher the images, photos of children ranging from toddlers to teenagers were found, according to Westlove.

He was charged with unlawful use of an encryption device, possession of firearm/invalid firearm owner's ID card, aggravated child pornography and child porn/film/tape/photo/act.

Conrad was released after posting a $50,000 bond and has a scheduled court date for June 27.
