Marvel comic book artist Jerry DeClaire will detail the science behind creating a superhero to local students this week.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, DeClaire will present the "Science of a Superhero" to Fischer Middle School students at 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., according to Indian Prairie School District 204.
DeClaire has been behind the art of Wolverine, Thor, X-Men and other superheroes, according to the district.
During the presentation, DeClaire will explain to students how to incorporate geometry, fractions and algebra when creating larger-than-life drawings.
