Metal Stamping Company to Set up Shop in Naperville

The company makes seat belt buckles and steering wheels

Bethlehem Industries plans on moving into a building at 1350 Shore Road this spring, according to the Naperville Sun. The company currently makes seat belt buckles and steering wheels in its facility in Franklin Park.

By moving into the empty building 74,000 square-foot building in Naperville, Bethlehem will have more room for future expansion. The company requested a variance to the number of parking spots required by the city. Their 22 employees wouldn't need the 186 spaces the city would normally required by the city for a building that size.

The board recommended approval of the variance, and the city council will have a final vote on the matter.

CFO and co-owner of the company Ken Papucci said any future increase in the number of employees would be modest.

"We've actually been looking into acquiring more automated programs so in terms of employees, we'll probably eventually need about six really good programmers," Papucci said.
