Naperville Police Respond To Ridgeland Avenue Bank Robbery
Naperville Police Officers were dispatched to a bank robbery in progress at the Fifth Third Bank Jan. 4.
On Jan. 4, 2021, at approximately 4:18 p.m., Naperville Police Officers were dispatched to a bank robbery in progress at the Fifth Third Bank, located at 1311 Ridgeland Avenue, Naperville. Upon arrival, officers encountered the suspect vehicle, a green Dodge Challenger, fleeing the parking lot onto northbound Naperville Road. The suspect vehicle was pursued on eastbound I-88, where it was last seen approaching I-294. Officers lost sight of the vehicle in that area.
The suspects were described as follows:

- Two male, black subjects in their 20’s. Each was wearing facemasks and gloves.
- The driver’s description was unavailable.
No injuries occurred during the robbery. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Chicago FBI Office at (312) 421-6700.
