Naperville Will Recycle Your Christmas Lights

Many people throw old Christmas lights in the trash. The correct way to dispose of them is mentioned here.

NAPERVILLE, IL — What should you do with old, broken or used holiday lights? They can be dropped off for recycling at the Electronics Recycling Center located at 156 Fort Hill Drive Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

From now through March 30, 2018, holiday lights can also be dropped off for recycling in the lobby at the Public Works Service Center, 180 Fort Hill Drive, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A drop-off box is also located in the lunchroom of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St, and is accessible Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Naperville will take mini-lights, C7, C9, rope lights and LEDs in all colors and lengths. Extension cords will be accepted, too. Check out the Christmas tree recycling program, too.
