Naperville's Centennial Beach Readies For Summer, Hiring For Jobs
The Naperville Park District has released membership costs for the upcoming season and is hiring for lifeguards and other beach positions.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Centennial Beach may not look like it is ready for its summer close-up just yet, but the Naperville Park District is gearing up for warmer weather and all it entails.
The Park District recently announced it started conducting interviews for lifeguards and other Centennial Beach staff positions in January and is continuing the process until all of the positions are filled.
The Park District currently has openings for lifeguards in both shallow and deep water and anyone 16 years or older is encouraged to apply, officials said. The application for job listings can be found here.

A year after Centennial Beach returned to more normal operations last summer after being closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials are again gearing up for a full summer this year.
Preparations for the summer include draining the water in late March, cleaning and maintaining the entire beach property in the month of April, and refilling the quarry with fresh water toward the end of April, so that lifeguard training may begin in early May. The park district said.

Memberships are available to Naperville residents and nonresidents, for youth, adults, seniors or families. A “Plus Friends” option can be added to a membership until May 30, which allows the member to bring up to two guests.
