NAPERVILLE, IL — An Indiana man faces felony charges after he was accused of stealing more than $100,000 from an elderly Naperville resident while he worked as an in-home aide caring for them.

Zoran Tazevski, 43, of Crown Point, Indiana, was charged with theft and aggravated identity theft in connection with the incidents.

Police say Tazevski was hired to live with the resident and help them with household chores, bill paying and other obligations. In October 2021, a family member contacted police, who began investigating Tazevski's actions.

According to Naperville police, Tazevski stole cash and applied for credit cards using the elderly person's information. As a result, the resident's mortgage remained unpaid for close to two years, a news release said.

Tasevski was arrested in Indiana on Jan. 24 and has been in custody at DuPage County Jail since Feb. 5.
