Police Blotter: A Rotten Egg; Jewelry Stolen

Warrant Arrest

Police said they arrested Mark D. Franklin, 33, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive in , around 5:10 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road on a warrant. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $120.

Justin L. Huenefeld, 36, of the 1300 block of Andover Drive in Aurora, was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of 83rd Street and Book Road on two failure-to-appear warrants, police said. He was also charged with driving a vehicle with an expired registration, driving a vehicle with an improper permit display and obstructing identification. Police said Huenefeld obstructed identification in attempt to avoid the two outstanding warrants.

Knowingly Damaging Property

Aaron T. Bundy, 22, of the 3000 block of Serenity Lane in , was arrested around the 5:30 p.m. at his home and charged with assault, knowingly damaging property and disorderly conduct, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Obstructing Identification

Kerri L. Griffin, 26, of the first block of Stringham Road in Battle Creek, Mich., was arrested around 8:45 p.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59 and charged with obstructing identification and forgery, police said.

A Rotten Egg

Police said that the owner of a business located in the 200 block of South Washington Street in reported that he or she found that a raw egg had been "deposited" in the alleyway near the building. The owner said raw eggs had also been found in the past, according to the report. Police said they believed someone placed the most recent egg there between 6:15 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7:15 a.m. Feb. 10.

Jewelry Stolen

A 50-year-old Aurora resident reported Thursday that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her purse. She said she believed the items were stolen while she was shopping at a local book store on Feb. 7 between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
