Police Blotter: Cannabis Possession, Theft, Time Stoppers

Naperville Police Department reports, May 10

Warrant arrest

Ivan Leon, 32, of the 600 block of Northview Street in Aurora, was arrested at 8:47 a.m. near Jefferson and Encina, said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and transported to DuPage County Jail.

Possession of cannabis

  • Kyle Patrick Reilly, 21, of the first block of Brownstone Court in Bloomington, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. in the 100 block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.
  • Police said Austin Donald Roe, 21, of the 700 block of Belair Drive in Byron, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. in the 100 block of East Chicago Avenue. He was charged with possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.
  • Ryan Anthony Szurdarski, 20, of the 6500 block of Giant Oaks Road in Wonder Lake, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.

Suspended/revoked license 

Luke Aaron Firestone, 22, of the 200 block of Douglas Way in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. near Route 59 and Beebe Drive, police said. He was charged with speeding and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $1,500.

Theft

  • Christopher Andre Brevard, 18, of the 100 block of Monterey Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with four counts of theft. His bond was $1,500.
  • Scott Michael Massey, 52, of the 800 block of Ogden Avenue in Lisle, was arrested at 12:03 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with retail theft and criminal trespass to land. His bond was $1,500.

Battery 

  • Stoney Barksdale, 50, of the 400 block of East Bailey Road, was arrested 12:00 p.m. at his home. He was charged with two counts of domestic battery and battery. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Police said John Joseph Marchetta, 17, of the 800 block of Benedetti Drive, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. at his home. He was charged with two counts of domestic battery, interfering with an officer, resisting a peace officer.

Battery to a peace officer

Michelle Marchetta, 41, of the 800 block of Benedetti Drive, was arrested at 9:51 a.m. at her home, police said. She was charged with knowingly damaging property and aggravated battery to a peace officer. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Theft  

  • A 43-year-old man reported his wallet was taken that was in plain view inside his car in the 2100 block of Cherrywood Circle. A GPS and small video camera were left behind, police said. 
  • A 26-year-old male reported that his car was burglarized Tuesday night and a Tom Tom GPS was taken, police said.

Lost track of time

Police said someone damaged a sundial located on the corner of Jefferson and Webster Street on Wednesday night, causing $125 in damage.
