Police Blotter: Pedestrian Under the Influence Interfered With Officer

Uninsured

Jose Luis Vargas, 29, of the first block of North Adams Street in North Aurora, was arrested at 3:42 p.m. near West Diehl Road and North Route 59, said. He was charged with expired registration, operating a vehicle without insurance, improper passing on the shoulder, driver’s license not on person and title possession offenses. His bail was $2,000. 

Burglary

Philip Lester Thorman, 27, of the 1500 block of Georgia Court, was arrested at 10:41 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to DuPage County Jail and his bail was $20,000. 

Driving under the influence

Mariusz Zoladz, 47, of the 900 block of Dakota Circle, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. near East Diehl Road and Centre Point Circle, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, failure to reduce/driving too fast for conditions, leaving scene of an accident, disobeying a police order and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Warrant

E Scott Ostowski, 48, of the 400 block of Waterbury Court, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue, police said. He was arrested on a failure to appear warrant. His bond was $200.

Unlicensed

Rodimiro Velasquez, 24, of the 4900 block of Keller Street in Lisle, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. near West Ogden Avenue and North Webster Street, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance and no driver’s license. His bail was $2,000.

Suspended/revoked license

Ibrahim Mohammed Hussain, 22, of the 23 West 500 block of North Avenue in Carol Stream, was arrested at 8:06 p.m. near Dearborn Court and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper plate/permit display. His bond was $1,500. 

Warrant

Wayne Terry Alsander, 22, of the 5400 block of Salma Street in Plainfield, was arrested at 3:38 a.m. near Route 59 and New York Street in Aurora, police said. He was charged with no rear registration and a failure to appear warrant. His bail was $5,000.

Suspended/revoked

Daniel Andre Desler, 24, of the 500 block of Pineridge Drive in Oswego, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. near Rickert Drive and West 75^th Street, police said. He was charged with driving on suspended/revoked license. His bond was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

• Vlatko Nikolovski, 26, of the 700 block of South Wright Street, was arrested at 4:29 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Aurora Road, police said. He was charged with improper lane use, disobeying traffic control signal and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
• Police said Erich Bipin Vora, 28, of the 2700 block of Blakely Lane, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. at his home. He was charged with failure to notify Secretary of State of address change, disobeying a stop sign, violating the lights and lamps act, failure to give a signal and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $300.
• Meghan Siobhan Kelly, 26, of the 1500 block of Abbotsford Drive, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. near River Road and Aurora Avenue, police said. She was charged with improper lane use, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
• Police said Dale Joseph Hanson, 28, of the 4700 block of St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. near West Van Buren Avenue and South Main Street. He was charged with violating the lights and lamps act, disobeying a stop sign, operating a vehicle without insurance and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
• Waverly Brandon Jordan, 33, of the 1000 block  of Terrace Lake Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. near Ferry Road and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with improper u-turn, expired registration and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $300.
• Police said Angela Joy Champion, 24, of the 900 block of Chelsea Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Berry Court. She was charged with speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, driver’s license not on person and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.

• Mindaugas Skurvydas, 18, of the 6S500 block of Naper Boulevard, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Main Street, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.
• Monique Nicole Cruz, 29, of the 700 block of Stillwater Court in Minooka, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. near South Naper Boulevard and Bayhill Avenue in Aurora, police said. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding over the statutory limit, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and possession of cannabis. Her bond was $1,500.
• Christopher Constantine Bakas, 18, of the 2700 block of Shellingham Drive in Lisle, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Main Street, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.

Gabriel Hernandez, 20, of the 200 block of Oakview Avenue in Aurora, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. near South Washington Street and East 75^th Street, police said. He was charged with no driver’s license and speeding over the statutory limit. His bond was $1,500.

• Anthony Joseph Thor, 27, of the 10000 block of Southwest Highway in Worth, was arrested at 2:46 a.m. near Foxcroft Road and South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with interfering with an officer and permitting a person driving under the influence to operate a vehicle. His bond was $120.
• Police said Joseph Allen Morrow, 27, of the 200 block of South Alder Creek Drive in Romeoville, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. near Foxcroft Raod and South Washington Street. He was charged with improper lane use, violating the lights and lamps act, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
• Aaron Vincent Brooks, 22, of the 2200 block of Daybreak Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road, police said. He was charged with improper lane use and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000. 

Possession of false ID

• Melanie N. Populurum, 20, of the 200 block of Hickory Street in New Lenox, was arrested at 4:00 a.m. in the first block of West Chicago Avenue, police said. She was charged with possession of a false identification card. Her bond was $120.
• Ashley A. Benson, 20, of the 15000 block of Delaney Road in Manhattan, was arrested at 3:00 a.m. in the first block of West Chicago Avenue, police said. She was charged with possession of a false identification card. Her bond was $120. 

Obstructing justice

Mohamed A Sheikh, 23, of the 1400 block of Georgetown Drive in Carol Stream, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with aggravated assault and obstructing justice. His bond was $1,500. 

Suspended/revoked license

Anselmo Castaneda, 45, of the 400 block of Salem Court in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:54 p.m., near Beebe Drive and West 75^th Street, police said. He was charged with not wearing a seat belt and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $1,500.

Possession

Tyler James Newberry, 18, of the 100 block of Glen Lake Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis 30 grams and under.

Unlicensed

Leopoldo Escamilla-Vergel, 26, of the 700 block of Jackson Street in Aurora, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. near Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with speeding, operating a vehicle without insurance and no driver’s license. His bail was $2,000.

Telephone harassment

Kortney Martez Patrick, 29, of the 500 block of Kiowa Drive, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with telephone harassment. His bond was $1,500.

Pedestrian under the influence

Jose Louie Granados, 27, of the 24W600 block of Parkview Court, was arrested at 2:07 a.m. near South Washington Street and East Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with interfering with an officer and pedestrian under the influence. His bond was $1,500.
