Police Blotter: Leaving an Accident, Driving Under the Influence and Missing Property

Leaving the scene

Nazish Taj Junejo, 30, of the 2800 block of Bridgeport Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. at her home, police said. She was charged with failing to yield when turning left and leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage. Her bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Julie Anne Field, 52, of the 1200 block of Hamilton Lane, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. at her home, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving without insurance, failing to notify police about an accident, and failing to notify about damage to an unattended vehicle. Her bond was $100.

Unlicensed

Juan Gabriel Solis-Garfias, 37, of the 10 block of Testa Drive, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. in the 400 block of North River Road and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with failing to signal and driving without a license. His bail was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

  • Chad Robert Lowden, 22, of the 3S200 block of Blackthorn Lane, Warrenville, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged on an original warrant for possession of cannabis. His bail was $5,000.
  • Sabrina Joy Tassotto, 26, of the 30W100 block of Concorde Court, Warrenville, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. in the 800 block of South West Street, police said. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant for theft issued in DuPage County. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Vehicle burglary

A 57-year-old man in the 2200 block of Aurora Avenue reported that someone broke into his vehicle and took a TomTom GPS from the windshield between 11 a.m. Saturday and 6:50 a.m. Monday, according to police. 

Missing property

  • A 52-year-old woman reported she last saw her wallet on Saturday when she took it out of her purse and left it on the front seat of her car while she went to XSport Fitness, police said. There was no forced entry to her vehicle.
  • Police said a 35-year-old woman in the 1000 block of East Diehl Road reported she lost her wallet between 8:30 a.m. and noon Sunday.
  • A 45-year-old woman reported that the purse containing her wallet, driver’s license and numerous credit cards was taken from her desk drawer between noon and 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Shuman Boulevard, according to police.
