Police Blotter: Peeing in Public, Mysterious Garbage at Local Car Wash

The following information was provided by the Naperville Police Department for Sept. 7. Individuals who are listed in the Police Blotter have been charged with a crime but have not been proven guilty in court.

Tuesday, Sept. 7
PUBLIC URINATION
A man, whose name, age and hometown were not listed in the police report, was cited Tuesday for public urination after he was found urinating on the property of the "Public Safety Campus," 1350 Aurora Avenue, where the Naperville Police Department is located. He was waiting there to bond his boss out of jail, according to the report.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
Francis Linek, 26, of Naperville was arrested, no time given, near the intersection of Plainfield-Naperville Road and 79th Street. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without wearing a seat belt.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A victim reported that a GPS unit was missing from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 4600 block of Niswender Court. The victim suspects it was stolen around 4 a.m. on Sept. 7.

Two catalytic converters were reported missing from box trucks that were parked at the Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, 510 S. Route 59. Victims suspect the converters were stolen between 8 p.m. Sept. 3 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7.

The victim reported his iPhone missing from his unlocked vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Spice Circle. He suspects it was stolen between 6 p.m. Sept. 3 and 3 a.m. Sept. 4.

BURGLARY
Victim reported that a trailer belonging to the company 1-800-USA-HOME.COM was burglarized during the Last Fling festival over Labor Day weekend. A plasma TV was stolen. Victims believe it was taken between 6 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 11 a.m. on Sept. 6.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
A 59-year-old woman in the 300 block of Apple River Drive reported that the door to her mailbox was broken and the wooden post was damaged using a cement block. She believes the damage occurred between 1 p.m. on Sept. 6 and noon on Sept. 7.

A window pane was reported broken around 1 p.m. at Kendall Elementary School, 2408 Meadow Lake Drive. The damage may have been caused by a small rock found nearby and is believed to have occurred between 5 p.m. Sept. 4 and 1 p.m. Sept. 7.

SUSPCIOUS ACTIVITY
An employee at Penguin Car Wash, 1628 North Aurora Rd., said that around noon, a 25- to 40-year-old woman drove into the parking lot, threw a garbage bag in the trash can and sped away. The man walked over to the garbage can to find refuse that looked like a napkin. But the material had eight, small $100 bills printed on it. Police believe it could have been some type of screening to make counterfeit bills. The item was entered into evidence.

HIT AND RUN
A 53-year-old victim reported that her vehicle was struck between 12:45 and 1:15 p.m. while parked outside Nordstrom Rack, 2511 West 75th Street.

Annika M. Pasztor, 44, no hometown given, was arrested around 8:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Ogden Avenue. She was charged with causing a hit and run accident after she reportedly struck an unattended vehicle in a parking lot and fled the scene without leaving behind her contact information.

WARRANT ARREST
Glen R. Pierce, 60, of Naperville was arrested around 12:20 p.m. at his home in the 100 block of East Bailey Road on an original warrant. He was also charged with knowingly damaging property.
