Police Blotter: Stolen Laptop; Items Thrown From SUV

Retail Theft

Ernesto Perez-Gomez, 39, of the first block of North Main Street in Naperville, was arrested around 5 p.m. at Jewel-Osco, 127 E. Ogden Ave. He was charged with retail theft and his bail was set at $1,000.

Threatening Note From Neighbor

A 37-year-old woman, of the 700 block of Benedetti Drive in Naperville, reported Monday that she received a threatening note a couple days before. The victim said the note, left at her residence on Oct. 2, stated the author would "burn her." She suspects the author is her recently evicted neighbor.

Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle

A 30-year-old woman reported that her car was keyed while in a parking lot at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St. She said she believed the damage occurred between 2:15 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Stolen Purse

A 13-year-old girl reported her purse missing from underneath a bench in the locker room at Lincoln Junior High School, 1320 Olympus Dr. She said the purse had her cell phone and several other important items in it. She said she believed it was stolen between 2 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.

Stolen Laptop

A 40-year-old man living in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane in Naperville, reported around 8 a.m. that his laptop was missing from inside his residence. He said he believed someone entered the residence through his unlocked door and stole the computer.

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

A 45-year-old man, of the 100 block of Cassin Road in Naperville, reported Monday an earpiece for a wireless phone and $10 in change missing from his unlocked vehicle. He said he believed the items were stolen between 11 p.m. Sept. 30 and 6 a.m. Oct. 1.

Items Thrown From SUV

A 63-year-old man was walking his dog around 10:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Aurora Avenue when he saw items being thrown from a brown sport utility vehicle. He recovered the items, which police believe are evidence of a vehicle burglary.
