Police: Oak Brook Man Charged With DUI After Entering Through DeVry's Exit

Police said Kevin M. Bejcek drove his vehicle against traffic into the DeVry University campus Thursday afternoon.

An Oak Brook man has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he drove the wrong way into the  campus Thursday.

said Kevin M. Bejcek, 59, of the first block of Briarwood Circle in Oak Brook, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Diehl Road.

Bejcek approached the driveway to DeVry University from Diehl Road, entering the campus by the exit drive, police said. He drove against traffic and police said witnesses saw him driving south, hitting a curb and appearing to pass out for about 10 seconds. He “woke, backed up and drove to the property’s west lot before security was able to stop him from driving further,” a police report said.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $300.
