'Potential Tornado Tracks' Being Surveyed After Monday's Storms

National Weather Service has six teams surveying paths as they identify "potential tornado tracks," including near Naperville and Wheaton.

DUPAGE COUNTY — The National Weather Service (NWS) Chicago is investigating 29 "paths of potential damage" following a slew of tornado reports Monday, including warnings in northern and southern DuPage County.

In total, six teams were out as of early Tuesday to survey damage in northern Illinois and into northwest Indiana. Maps shared by NWS indicated "potential tornado tracks" near Wheaton and Naperville.

Tornado warnings had been issued until 10 p.m. throughout DuPage County after reports that a tornado had been spotted near Oswego, Fox 32 reported live Monday.

Cleanup was still underway in Wheaton and Naperville, where downed trees and utility poles were impacting traffic.
