Family, Pets Saved From Fire By Neighbors, Firefighters
The fire displaced the family and their dogs from their home in the 100 block of Locust Court.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Neighbors and firefighters saved residents and their dogs from a blaze that broke out in the attached garage of a home in the 100 block of Locust Court in Naperville Monday morning.
Two people called the fire department around 10:40 a.m. Monday to report the fire, a news release said. One caller said the residents might still be inside the house.
Neighbors helped the residents escape the fire, according to a news release.

When firefighters got to the scene, they saw "heavy smoke and fire" in the back of the house, per the news release. Firefighters who entered the home were able to remove a dog who was inside.
The flames were contained in about 45 minutes, but the blaze caused $100,000 in damage and displaced the home's occupants. Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
