See Where Naperville Ranks Among America's Safest Cities In 2024

NAPERVILLE, IL — MoneyGeek recently unveiled its list of the Safest Cities in America in 2024. Once again, Naperville landed among the finance site's top picks.

Last year, MoneyGeek ranked Naperville as America's safest city.

Here's where the city landed in MoneyGeek's 2024 roundup:

1. Thousand Oaks, CA
2. Fishers, IN
3. Pembroke Pines, FL
4. Pearland, TX
5. Gilbert, AZ
6. Irvine, CA
7. Coral Springs, FL
8. Naperville, IL

In its study, MoneyGeek used statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau and the FBI to analyze more than 300 cities that have 100,000 or more residents. The following data were reviewed:

• Cost of crime
• Cost of crime per capita
• Property crime rate
• Violent crime rate

Naperville, which was the only Illinois city to make MoneyGeek's top 15 this year, had a crime per capita cost of $402 per resident, according to the study data.
