NAPERVILLE, IL — Residents in parts of Naperville will have to hang on to their live Christmas trees a little longer, due to a delay in tree collection as Friday calls for a snowstorm.

If your tree was set to be collected Jan. 12, it will now be picked up Jan. 19 or Jan. 26, per an update from city officials. To ensure tree collection, residents must remove all ornaments and lights and place their tree at the curb and is not beneath snow.

As of Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service had issued a winter storm watch for DuPage and Will Counties that was set to be in effect Friday through Saturday morning.
