The Springs at Monarch Landing Adds to Its Legacy of Excellence with More State Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The Springs at Monarch Landing has once again proven why it is regarded as one of the finest health care providers in Illinois. The community was recently named Best Long-Term Care Center in Illinois by the Illinois Health Care Association (IHCA), which represents more than 450 long term care centers across the state. In addition, Roseline Tyson, a nurse at The Springs, was recognized as Nurse of the Year by the Illinois Long Term Care Nurses Association (LTCNA).

These two honors further strengthen The Springs’ reputation as a top-tier care provider and a valued asset to the greater Naperville. The recognitions join an impressive list of national and statewide awards that highlight its commitment to exceptional care and the compassion of its team.

A celebration was held at The Springs, attended by Jackie Webb of IHCA and Leslie Ruffing, representing Illinois State Senator Laura Ellman’s office. Ruffing praised The Springs as “a valued asset to the Naperville community, providing strength and well-being through extraordinary care, compassion, respect, and tireless service.”

Elizabeth Vanderwal, Administrator of The Springs, credited the honors to the dedication of the entire team. “These awards are a celebration of every single team member in every department,” she said. “Their commitment, compassion, and professionalism are the reason The Springs continues to set the standard for excellence in care.”

Vanderwal added that the consistency of recognition over the years reflects a culture of shared purpose. “Our achievements define who we are; a team united by pride, excellence, and heart. We’ve built an expectation that ‘outstanding’ is what we do, and it’s the foundation we’ll continue to build upon.”

Nurse of the Year: A Reflection of Team Spirit

Tyson’s Nurse of the Year award embodies the culture of excellence at The Springs. “Her energy and passion for nursing are unmatched,” said Vanderwal. “She truly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction.”

Director of Nursing Dulce Dangis added, “Roseline is the first to volunteer and often comes in on her days off. Her heart for her work and her team inspires everyone around her.”

When Tyson was recently named Employee of the Month at The Springs, she celebrated by buying dinner for her entire team. “She said she couldn’t do this without them,” Vanderwal recalled. “That spirit is what makes The Springs exceptional. Skills can be taught, but heart cannot.”
