Stranger Offers 11-Year-Old Girl A Ride In Maroon Minivan: Cops
Naperville has seen two stranger danger incidents in the past week.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An 11-year-old girl was allegedly approached Tuesday in south Naperville by a man asking her if she needed a ride, according to a press release from the Naperville Police Department. Officers responded to the report at around 3:20 p.m. at the 2700 block of Showplace Drive in the northwest corner of 95th Street and Route 59. He was driving a maroon minivan, police said.
The press release states the child fled the scene and officials were unable to locate the offender. He's described as a white man, approximately 60 years old with a long, black beard wearing a North Face jacket.
Police encourage anyone with information to call the department at 630-420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division. This is the second reported stranger danger incident within a week.
