Teen Shot In Chest In Naperville: Police
A community alert said Naperville police were investigating a shooting in the area of Whispering Hills and Jefferson Avenue.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An 18-year-old man was found shot in the chest Monday night in Naperville, police said.
Officers responded to a report of a person who had just been shot just before 8:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Testa Drive. Police found an 18-year-old Naperville man lying in a grassy area outside an apartment building with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The Naperville Fire Department took the man to an area hospital, where he is being treated. Police said they do not believe his injury is life-threatening.

Police said officers established a perimeter and found a person of interest, also an 18-year-old Naperville man, who is being detained.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the two men knew each other, and the shooting was not random, police said.
