Last Chance For Naperville Christmas Tree Collection

Naperville has a few rules when it comes the the disposal of your real Christmas tree.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Say it ain't so! Is it really time to kick our Christmas trees to the curb? There's certainly no law that says you can't have it up as long as possible (see tweet from Mariah Carey below), but Naperville does have some recommendations.

The city's live Christmas tree collection takes place the first two weeks of January. Trees should be placed at the curb for pickup on your normal garbage collection day and be free of tinsel, decorations, lights, popcorn, and the like.

Don't forget, garbage pickup will be pushed back a day this week. Naperville doesn't require a yard waste sticker for 2018, but they will be required in 2019. Instructions and information around this change will be made available in the fall. So, when are you recycling your tree?
