Velvet Taco Now Open At Block 59 In Naperville
The fast-casual restaurant offers chicken and waffle tacos, paneer tacos and other inventive eats.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Velvet Taco is the most recent in a string of new openings at Block 59 in Naperville. The fast-casual taco spot celebrated its grand opening Monday.
Billed on its website as "a temple to the liberated taco," Velvet Taco is known for putting inventive twists on traditional Mexican cuisine, all made with fresh ingredients. Their menu features items like chicken and waffle tacos, fried paneer cheese tacos and Korean fried rice tacos with pulled pork.
Velvet Taco recently added Velvet Bowls to their menu. The bowls mix roasted corn pico de gallo, guacamole, black beans and cilantro basmati rice with tikka chicken, Angus brisket or other proteins. The veggie bowl subs in roasted seasonal vegetables. Gluten free and vegan options are available.

Velvet Taco's opening comes just ahead of the grand opening for Yard House, which offers handheld eats, entrees and dozens of beers on tap.
Located at 448 S. Rte. 59 and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
