Rogue Carrier Disappears With FedEx Trailer Hauling $125K In Merchandise: NLPD
The trailer was picked up Feb. 18 for delivery in California four days later. It never made it there, according to police reports.
NEW LENOX, IL — An unauthorized carrier has disappeared with a FedEx trailer carrying $125,000 in merchandise, according to New Lenox police reports.
Police were called March 31 to a FedEx facility at 2250 Berens Drive for a theft report. An employee told police that the trailer containing more than $120,000 in merchandise had been picked up on Feb. 18, for delivery to Rialto, California on Feb. 22. The trailer never made it to its destination, the employee reported.
Police learned the carrier who transported the load is no longer authorized to operate and was unable to be contacted.

Police are working to determine if the incident should be investigated or closed.
