Chicago Man, 23, & Juvenile Covered Camera, Stole Bags Full Of Cosmetics From Walgreens: New Lenox PD
The pair committed similar thefts in Frankfort and at a New Lenox CVS, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL — A Chicago man and a juvenile were charged with retail theft and burglary after New Lenox police said they covered a camera at a pharmacy in order to steal bags full of merchandise, according to police reports.
Police were called Friday to Walgreens, 450 S. Schoolhouse Road, for a retail theft complaint. A customer told police that they had seen two men acting suspiciously and obscuring a camera's view in the cosmetics section, according to police reports.
The men were gone when police arrived, but video corroborated the customer's account, showing the two suspects leaving the store without paying for an undetermined amount of goods.
